Blaze Software

Blaze Software

Blaze Software is a Larson Davis Product for use with Industrial Hygiene measurements with the Larson Davis Human Vibration Meter HVM100, the Larson Davis family of Spark Dosimeters and the Larson Davis SoundTrack LxT Sound Level meter.

Noise Environment Measurement Software

By Interfacing with the Larson Davis Blaze software, color rich graphics provide a comprehensive and easy to interpret  picture of the Noise Environment, resulting from Industrial Hygiene Instrument measurements.

The user can transition from measurement to to finished reports in seconds. Blaze contains advanced features that enable higher level analysis of the Noise Environment than the 'stand-alone' instrument. This is due to the high quality, dynamic range, resolution and the use of color in the graphics presentations.

Blaze provides 'copy and paste' functions that allow data inclusion into many report formats and unlimited annotation.

The Blaze/Instrument combination provides the following measurement data to be presented in tabular/graphical form, as the user requires:

Instrument Manager

Most of the operations of the Blaze software are controlled from the Instrument Manager. Specific features implemented from the Instrument Manager include the following:

• Determination of instrument status; serial number, firmware version, battery status, data records in memory and date/time.

• Management of instrument setups, including creation, modification and deletion of setups and utilization of the Setup Manager to work with the setup database.

• Manual control of the Instrument via the PC.

• Downloading/Uploading of data between the LxT and the PC

• System calibration

• Defining user preferences

Data Display

A download of data from the Instrument provides general instrument information, calibration information, instrument setup information, notes and measurement information, which includes overall, dose and statistics data for each record downloaded from the Instrument. These data are presented on-screen as a series of Measurement Summaries, one for each register or set of merged registers. The Measurement Log not only documents significant keypad related activities which took place during the measurement, but also presents a voice annotation record which can be played back via the computer sound card.

Graphic Presentations

The Blaze Software includes powerful and flexible graphics capabilities for displaying statistical information such as 1/1 and 1/3 octave frequency spectra (optional) downloaded from the LxT.

Blaze Database

Blaze incorporates a powerful search function which will assist in searching through saved Data Records on specific items.

Report Generation

To improve efficiency in documenting the results of  measurements, Blaze provides routines to generate and print Summary and Statistics Reports.

Data Export

Blaze Measurement records can be exported as text files or as comma-delimited files for use with word processing and spreadsheet programs for further processing and reporting.
